How to make spinach-stuffed pasta shells for freezing?

Assemble, freeze flat, then bake for easy meals

Prepare and fill jumbo shells as for baking, but instead of baking immediately, arrange filled shells on a parchment-lined baking sheet and flash-freeze until solid. Transfer frozen shells to freezer bags with sauce layered between or stored separately. Label and freeze up to 3 months.

To bake from frozen:

  • Spread sauce in a baking dish, add frozen shells, cover with more sauce and cheese, and bake covered at 375°F (190°C) for 40–60 minutes until heated through, uncovered to brown if desired.

Freezing tips:

  • Squeeze spinach very dry to prevent sogginess.
  • Portion into meal-sized batches for convenience.

This method gives you ready-made comfort food that heats up with fresh-baked texture.
